I keep this blog in part to easily update family, friends, and other JA parents (and any other interested persons!) on how Anna is doing on her journey with Juvenile Arthritis. Since Anna was first diagnosed in 1999, the terminology has changed. I believe that now children are diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis, or Juvenile Iodiopathic Arthritis, et. al. However, I created this blog a long time ago, when people referred the disease as Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Hence the "JRA."

Took this picture of Anna this morning, and thought it was a good one. She ran in a Fun Run today (the first time she's done so), and she did well, although she really needs to train and to stretch before she does much more running! This photograph was taken before the 5K (in which her brother participated) and the Fun Run. It was a BEAUTIFUL morning in Pennsylvania!

Hi
Your daughter reminds me very much of mine. She is 10 and has been dealing with JIA since she was 3. She deals well and is also a very active and happy girl. I enjoyed reading your blog. I think it is very helpful to parents just starting out so they can see how happy their child Can be.

Thank you for your kind words! You're right . . . . our daughters sound similar. Hope your daughter is doing well!
Great work.
